Shooting in Washington, D.C., left at least one person dead and 20 people wounded. The incident happened between Anacostia River and Fort Circle Park in the city’s southeast quadrant.

Christopher Brown, a teenager, was pronounced dead at a hospital after the gunfire.

According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Peter Newsham and Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser, the shooting incident broke out during a social gathering wherein hundreds of people were present.

At least three shooters opened fire from separate points between Anacostia River and Fort Circle Park.
