Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri disclosed that a 10-bed hospital in Davao region with no single COVID-19 case received P10 million from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Senator Zubiri is referring to Golingay General Hospital in Malalag town, Davao del Sur.

It was instead an 18-bed infirmary, not a 10-bed facility.

The said hospital was allegedly among the top seven highest-paid facilities in the region for pneumonia claims.

According to the senator, he will bring up the issue in the next Senate hearing.
