Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief General Archie Gamboa announced that they had taken custody of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) leader Anduljihad “Edang” Susukan from the house of Nur Misuari in Yñigue Subdivision, Maa, Davao City.

Gamboa said the PNP initiated a negotiation after learning that Susukan was brought to Davao City to received medical attention.

The police served 23 warrants of arrest of murder, five for kidnapping and serious illegal detention, and six for frustrated murder against Susukan.

The Abu Sayyaf leader will undergo a medical check-up before being turned over to the Philippines’ Armed Forces.
