DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said the national government is eyeing to strictly ban home quarantine from preventing the transmission of COVID-19 among households.

Año said there would be exemptions in this measure, including elderlies who could no longer be transferred to quarantine facilities in their localities.

He said the national task force against COVID-19 has already started discussing the measure intended to be enforced within the week.
