Joe Biden added his former Democratic primary rival, Pete Buttigieg, together with former senior officials of ex-President Barack Obama, to an enlarged White House transition team.

Among the four new co-chairs are Ted Kaufman, his longtime ally, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, former Obama economic adviser Jeffrey Zients, Louisiana Representative Cedric Richmond, and Anita Dunn, his campaign adviser.

Kaufman believes that the advisory board members’ expertise will be a big help for Biden, especially in the COVID-19 response, which continues to ravage the hardest-hit country of the pandemic the United States.
