BLACK MAN FREED AFTER 44 YEARS FOR A CRIME HE DIDN’ T DO
After serving 44 years for a wrongful conviction, Ronnie Long, a black man, was finally freed from a prison in North Carolina.
He was accused of raping a White woman and was found guilty in 1976.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Long is now 64 when he was freed for a crime he didn’t do.
He walked out of prison, raising hands to the crowd, wheeling his few belongings behind him.
