CHARLES LECLERC, DRIVER OF FORMULA 1 TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, 23 has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, Leclerc said he was self-isolating in his home in Monaco with mild symptoms.
“I am feeling ok and have mild symptoms. I will remain in isolation in my home in Monaco in compliance with regulations set by the local health authorities. Stay safe and take care,” he said.
Formula 1 just completed its 2020 season last December, with Sir Lewis Hamilton securing his seventh Driver’s championship.
Charles Leclerc, who has won two Grand Prix with Ferrari since his track debut in 2018, is the fifth F1 driver to have contracted the virus.
