Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan on Monday ordered the police’s Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) to validate with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) the information that a convicted drug lord continues his drug operations while jailed.
Cascolan said the information came after a buy-bust operation in Cebu City on Sunday resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects and the seizure of seven kilograms of suspected shabu worth P47.6 million.

The PNP chief said the drug suspects had revealed that the confiscated drugs allegedly belonged to Rustico “Dikoy” Ygot, a convicted drug lord who is serving his sentence at the national penitentiary.

Ygot was convicted in 2013.
