Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said DOH is eyeing five hospitals for the clinical trials under Phase 3 of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by China-based Sinovac Biotech.

These include Philippine General Hospital, San Lazaro Hospital, Manila Doctors Hospital, the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, and Vicente Sotto Medical Center.

Sinovac is currently in Phase 2.

Vergeire said there are already applications from local manufacturing companies for Phase 3 clinical trials.
