The Filinvest Group of the Gotianiun family has distanced itself from the Filinvest Trust Bank supposedly misusing the company name and its official business address.

In a regulatory filing, Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC) said it has no relation to the Filinvest Trust Bank which is reportedly claiming to be part of the Filinvest business group in offering banking and financial services internationally.

“FDC, its concerned affiliates and subsidiaries, including FDC’s sole and exclusive banking and financial arm, East West Banking Corporation (EastWest Bank), do not have any relation to, association, or connection with any purported company by the name of ‘Filinvest Trust Bank’, or the website ‘filinvesttrust.com’,” the disclosure read.

This comes as FDC said Filinvest Trust Bank has been actively using the official business address of the Filinvest Group along EDSA in Mandaluyong, and falsely showing or claiming to be part of FDC and its concerned affiliates.

As of 11:05 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, the website filinvesttrust.com has been suspended.
