FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN JAPAN, FREE OF COVID-19 DEATHS

Philippine Ambassador Jose Laurel said the Filipino community in Japan has yet to see fatalities linked to COVID-19.

Filipinos in Japan who contracted the virus have recovered except for two who are still undergoing treatment in a hospital.

Aside from this, Japan has sent home some 1,000 Filipinos and already working on the repatriation of 126 others.

As to date, Japan recorded 17,429 cases of COVID-19, with 925 deaths and 15,643 recoveries.
