Kevin Astorga, formerly of the UP Fighting Maroons, was celebrating his birthday inside an exclusive subdivision when he and his four companions were arrested by government anti-drug operatives.

Arrested with Astorga were Agustin Montejo, Jerico Dumagan, Karen Salvajan and Mico Mojares.

The four reportedly tried to escape by jumping off to an adjacent building but were eventually cornered by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), which conducted the buy-bust operation.

Seized from the suspects were 150 grams of kush or high-grade marijuana and a sachet of cocaine, as well as the P150,000 marked money used by the PDEA asset in the operation.
