According to JTF COVID Shield commander Police Lieutenant General Guillermo Eleazar, Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has said he will bring up the matter in the next meeting of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of the Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID).

At present, minors are not allowed to go to computer shops. Some local government units have provided gadgets to students for their online studies, however, most localities do not have enough funds to extend assistance to the learners.

Eleazar said police would wait for the decision of the IATF regarding the proposal to turn computer and internet shops into learning spaces for minor online and modular learning students.
