Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Core Business-Sector executive vice president Nora Malubay said it will be releasing the cash gift of its old-age and disability pensioners on or before December 12.

Malubay clarified that the earlier announced December 1 release of cash gift is actually the pension fund’s start of processing of pensioners gifts.

“The start of the granting is December 1. Ibig sabihin pino-program na namin ngayon so maibibigay po namin ‘yan on or before December 12 pero pipilitin namin ibigay ng December 8,” Malubay said.

In a separate statement, GSIS said a total of P3.3 billion in Christmas cash gifts will be given to a total of 330,496 old-age and disability pensioners.

Malubay said the cash gift will be credited to pensioners’ electronic card or eCard.
