LEFT-WING LAWMAKERS URGE PRRD TO DISCLOSE HEALTH STATUS
On Friday, a group of Left-wing lower house lawmakers urged President Rodrigo Duterte to make public his state of health after his doctors had warned him about conditions.
The lawmakers said it is the country’s leader’s duty, as mandated by the constitution, to make public if he has a serious illness.
Ferdinand Gaite of Bayan Muna expressed concern over the President’s health conditions because it might affect his work as chief executive.
Another member of Congress, France Castro of ACT Teachers, said the President’s health status is worsening.
Gabriela Women’s Party Rep. Arlene Brosa said it is also alarming how defensive presidential spokesperson Harry Roque seems to be when it comes to the President’s health.
