Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go on Monday gave a stern warning to those attempting to skirt the travel ban and quarantine procedures for those coming from countries with the new coronavirus variant.

The Philippine government recently imposed a temporary travel ban for passengers arriving from 21 countries which have recorded cases of the new coronavirus variant. It will be in effect until January 15.

The Bureau of Immigration also turns away travelers from other points of origin if they have travel history to these listed areas in the last two weeks.
