MAGNITUDE 4.9 EARTHQUAKE HITS GENERAL NAKAR, QUEZON

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude 4.9 earthquake shook General Nakar in Quezon on Tuesday morning.

The temblor was also felt in several Metro Manila cities.

The quake happened at 2:14 a.m., about 20 kilometers northwest of General Nakar.

It was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 15 kilometers.
