MAINE MENDOZA DENIES CERTAIN VIDEO CIRCULATING ONLINE
Using her social media account, Maine Mendoza clarify that she is not the woman involved in a certain video scandal circulating online.
Mendoza raised the alarm about being linked to the said sex video after a netizen shared a screenshot on Twitter last December 22, 2020.
The netizen wrote,
“Paki report please!!! Protect Maine Mendoza at all costs #MaineMendoza #ALDUBatADNHeartsAtPeace.”
Maine shockingly replied: “Wtf???? Sobrang kamukha ko kinilabutan ako pero hindi ako to!”
However, Maine’s manager, Rams David, has issued an official statement on the matter, saying the supposed sex video is fake and has been digitally manipulated using deepfake technology.
Maine’s management, All Access To Artist, Inc., also urged the public “not to post, share, or otherwise circulate the video” as they “will not hesitate to take appropriate legal action against any person circulating the same.”
All Access To Artist also said they intend to hold those individuals criminally and civilly liable for the damage caused to Mendoza.
Finally, the management reminded the public to be more discerning of content they see online, and to help take down the voyeuristic and defamatory content.
“We are grateful for your continued trust and support for Ms. Mendoza. ”
“Rest assured that we are taking all necessary steps to hold the individuals involved accountable and we are coordinating with the proper government agencies to remove this content online permanently,” the statement said.
