MORE THAN 200 ANTIPOLO LGU EMPLOYEES TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
The city government said more than 200 employees of the Antipolo City government tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The city government said the additional cases were the result of aggressive contact tracing and testing.
Among those employees who tested positive were from the Office of the Mayor, Office of the Vice Mayor, and the Office of Sangguniang Panglungsod.
The patients were isolated in quarantine facilities.
The city hall would remain open despite the rise in positive cases.
So far, Antipolo has recorded a total of 2,027 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,573 recoveries and 74 deaths.
Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 leaped to 265,888 with 207,504 recoveries and 4,630 fatalities.
