Philippine Navy chief Vice Admiral Giovanni Bacordo on Monday said there are no personnel of the Navy nor the Philippine Marines who already got vaccinated against COVID-19.

Earlier, Philippine Army chief Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana confirmed that some military officials and non-commissioned officers have already been vaccinated against the virus.

Sobejana, however, is not certain if the vaccine came from the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines has said information regarding vaccinated soldiers is still being verified despite that it was already President Rodrigo Duterte who had bared the matter over the weekend.
