Muling nagdeploy ang Philippine Navy ng kanilang mga tauhan at sasakyan para magbigay ng libreng sakay sa mga health workers sa Metro Manila at mga karatig lalawigan ngayong ipinatutupad ang modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.

Ayon kay Philippine Navy Spokesperson Lt Commander Maria Christina Roxas ang ruta nang kanilang libreng sakay ay sa Commonwealth – Welcome Rotonda at Pasay – Monumento.

Nauna nang iniutos ng Philippine Navy sa kanilang mga tauhan na tumulong sa implementasyon ng quarantine protocols sa Marikina City, Susana Heights, Alabang at boundary ng Las Piñas at Cavite sa CAVITEX.

Tiniyak ni Roxas na nagpapatuloy ang regular na pagpapapatrolya ng mga tauhan ng Navy sa lahat ng sea entry points at pagdedeploy ng mga tauhan sa main airports, swabbing facilities at iba pang quarantine stations.

Sinabi ni Roxas ito ang commitment ng Philippine navy sa publiko ngayong may COVID-19 pandemic.
