The authorities shifted to retrieval operations as four suspected treasure hunters burried for almost 24 hours inside a 60-foot collapsed tunnel were presumed dead.

Municipal Information Officer Mart Sambalud explained that they are now hopeless that the hunters are alive as there are water and mud still blocking any passageway of air.

The men trapped are identified as Kayl Castaneres, Gerick Marquez, Dindo Panares and Rustom Rancho.
