President Vladimir Putin announced Tuesday that Russia had developed the first COVID-19 vaccine, and one of his daughters had the vaccine to took part in the experiment.

President Vladimir Putin said the coronavirus vaccine offers “sustainable immunity” against the viral disease.

Earlier, Russia said that they hoped to launch mass production within weeks and turn out “several million” doses per month by next year.

President Rodrigo Duterte, in a late-night briefing yesterday, said Russia would be giving COVID-19 vaccine in the Philippines for free.
