Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the competition in the tourism industry might have prompted a Thai newspaper to call the Philippines as the land of COVID-19.

Roque stressed that both countries are closest friends, but also the closest competitors as far as economic interests are concerned.

He explained that Thailand and the Philippines we’re dealing with the same commodities.
