World Health Organization’s head of emergencies programme Mike Ryan said there is no evidence that food or the food chain is participating in the transmission of COVID-19.

It can be recalled that traces of COVID-19 were found in cargoes of imported frozen foods in Shenzen, China, which came from Brazil.

Mike Ryan of WHO said people should not fear food, food packaging, or delivery of food.

Scientists and officials also stressed that there is no reliable evidence that COVID-19 can spread through frozen food.
